Eagle Scout is the highest-ranking of Boy Scouts, and less than 1% of all scouts reach the honor. A primary requirement is a scout’s Eagle service project. The project gives the opportunity to plan, develop, and provide leadership to others focusing on an organization other than Boy Scouts. My troop (Troop 156) required at least 100 working hours.
I designed and provided storage units to Glenview Youth Services for a cluttered area with board games, books, and toys. I learned how to be effective with my design, allocate the manufacturing process, and be efficient with my resources. The experience from this project led me to my Mechanical Engineering path.
